Programme length: 15 months
A Team Leader/Supervisor is someone who has personal responsibility and accountability for delivering operational objectives. Key responsibilities are likely to include supporting, managing and developing team members, managing projects, planning and monitoring workloads and resources, delivering operational plans, resolving problems, and building relationships internally and externally. In doing so, a Team Leader/Supervisor provides direction, instructions and guidance to ensure the achievement of set goals. Roles/Occupations may include: Supervisor, Team Leader, Project Officer, Shift Supervisor, Foreperson, and Shift Manager.
The programme is highly flexible and would be ideal professional development for someone in a team leading or supervisory role who has not received any recent or formal management training.

End Point Assessment
In the case of the Team Leader Apprenticeship, the End Point Assessment Organisation (EPAO) is the Chartered Management Institute (CMI). The EPA consists of three elements:
The knowledge test test uses scenarios and questions to test knowledge of leading people, managing people, building relationships, communication, operational management, project management and finance. It represents 30% of the overall apprenticeship assessment
The interview represents 30% of the overall result and is used to confirm knowledge and application of learning relating to leading people, managing people, building relationships, communication, operational management, project management and finance. The interview can be conducted by phone, video call or in writing – whichever is most appropriate for the candidate.
Assessment of portfolio of evidence
The portfolio is developed throughout the apprenticeship and is used to evidence the full range of knowledge, skills and behaviours learned through the programme. Evidence could include written statements by colleagues, reports, presentations, performance reviews, observations and/or professional discussion between the apprentice and the tutor. It represents 20% of the overall score.
The discussion reviews the professional development undertaken by the candidate over the course of the programme and how the learning has been applied to the role and the workplace; it represents 20% of the overall score.
